I wrote two stories for Yuletide: my assignment and one Yuletide madness treat. I was working on a Black Lightning story for beatrice_otter but it never quite jelled, possibly because I ended up marathoning Killing Eve instead of writing it. Sorry friend, but I defy you to watch that show and not get sucked in by the chaotic bisexual energy and murder.

One Last Leap
(Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse)
Telling his parents he's Spider-Man is a leap of faith Miles can't bring himself to take.

This was my assignment for musesfool and I was super nervous about writing it because I really love her stuff and wanted to give her something good. I re-watched the movie three times and procrastinated like whoa before I got it how I wanted it. Thanks, mom, for beta-ing and helping me keep with the outing one's self to the family theme. She now knows what a total nerd I am in case she missed it before.

And to think he’d scoffed when Simon had tried to warn him. Everyone you love will die. What a laugh, right? Christ, he’s been such an idiot.

I whipped out this treat for brampersandon over the course of a single afternoon while the show played in the background. Did you know they changed all the sound cues for the Hulu version? It was both distracting and disappointing. "Lonely Souls" is crucial for the end of the first episode and this is a hill I will die on. 

I wrote over 2,000 words spread across 8 stories this month in She-Ra & the Princesses of Power, Star Wars, and one fandom which shall remain nameless until the exchange is revealed in February.

Everything this month was based on John Mulaney quotes. Despite their comedic origins, the stories all got rather angsty. Oh well.

Mystery story was written for the Past Imperfect Future Unknown exchange which will go live on Saturday and be revealed on the Saturday after that. Spoiler alert, it involves time travel and is awesome.
